We all desire to be fit and healthy, however, we are yet to show real efforts to make this desire come true. Unfortunately, they are not really determined in their attempts and are bent on making excuses at times when they fail to make their attempts. Let us give you some guidelines to follow if you really want to be fit and healthy.

Number one tip that we have to mention is to stop buying and stocking those junk food in your room. You would contradict your desire to be healthy if you go to the store and buy all your favourite junk food and sweets to keep in your cupboards. Your control is needed here especially if you are prone to binging on these junk food.

Your next guideline is generally to start making healthier food choices. There are foods that you refuse to categorize as junk but you know that these are bad for you. Generally, many ready meals are not healthy for you, and so it is advisable that you prepare your food yourself. Be aware of what you will put into your body by learning to read nutritional labels and watch out for sodium and sugar content. It is much better to eat a ton of vegetables like broccoli, kale and spinach, while being watchful on vegetables that are starchy. We are not saying to live on vegetables and salads alone, but instead go on getting plenty of portions of this food to fill up your day as much as possible.

We are not built to sit down all day long and it means we need to get moving, and you can start by choosing an exercise that you like. Punishing yourself on the treadmill for the whole day is not what we mean here, but rather you choose an exercise that you like and be serious on doing it. Some would like to play sports, go to a dance studio or do yoga, and other different types of exercise that they like best and enjoy to be religious in it.

You have to find ways to incorporate in your everyday life what is fitness for your body. You can start by simple steps like going for a short walk, taking stairs than the elevator, parking a little further from your destination to make that walk, and other activities that make a difference to your lifestyle.
